After only three months traffic it’s clear that the new St. Peter Line link between Helsinki, Finland, and St. Petersburg, Russia, is a huge success that has exceeded all expectations.
Andrey Mushkarev, Director of Sales and Marketing, states “We took the decision to initiate the traffic at the beginning of February with the first sailing scheduled for 21 April. In less than 2 months we set up a fully-fledged Cruiseferry-operation from scratch in terms of both our organization and all our IT-systems.”
Andrey continues, “Of course we encountered unforeseen problems due to the short time frame from decision to go-live. Carus, with their in-depth knowledge and love to the ferry industry has been an integral part for us getting this far this quickly with such a good result”.
St. Peter Line utilises the Carus Managed Service out of their Mariehamn data centre for booking, ticketing, departure control and administration. Carus has also provided registry maintenance services for the setup of inventory, prices and products within their solution.
Project Manager Yuriy Shtrambrand at St. Peter Line, states “There have been many decisions and changes of decisions and Carus has always been there for us to support us whenever needed. They have done a great job helping us, even with tasks that are outside of what they usually do. They have done it well and contributed tremendously to us being able to sail as originally planned”.
From a Carus perspective CEO Anders Rundberg says “I am happy to have St. Peter Line as a customer. Russian and the Cyrillic alphabet was one of the challenges we had to manage in this short time. I’m happy to have contributed to the success of the line and also happy in the confidence St. Peter Line shows us by choosing us to create their new company web site, which is currently under construction. I’m looking forward to a long and mutually rewarding relationship with St. Peter Line”
